I know, another felt flower pin tutorial? Well yes, sorry but winter makes me want to work in felt. Nothing warms the cockles like fuzzy, comfy easy to sew felt flowers. Supplies: Hot glue gun 1/8 of a yard of three colors of felt 1" pin Scissors Button Needle and Thread Printer Print out the pattern below. (Use the scale to make sure the print out is the correct size). Cut out the following using three colors of felt: 1-Base 1-Pin Cover 5-Small Petals that go on the top of the flower 7-Medium Petals in color one, these get wrapped between two large petals 7-Large Petals in color two 7-Large Petals in color three Thread your needle and knot the end. Taking one of your Medium Felt Petals place it on top of a Large Petal, pinch them together in half (fig. 2A). When I was a kid my mom always put my hair in a pony tail with a ribbon or bow so to this day I love hair ornaments. And what better accessory for a high bun on your head then putting a big felt bow...it's like your a big present (although my husband would disagree and try to return me…or re-gift me)! Need a big felt bow? Well here you go, it is super easy… Supplies Needle and thread Scissors Alligator hair clip Felt Printer for pattern Print out the pattern below. Using the pattern, cut out one of each piece in felt. I used three different colors. Obviously I can't have enough felt flower pins in my wardrobe for this winter because I have come up with yet another felt flower tutorial. I can't help it, I love to add them to outfits in the winter for a little something extra. Hopefully you feel the same way too. Supplies: Hot glue gun 1/8 of a yard of three colors of felt 1" pin Scissors Pinking Shears Needle & Thread Printer Print out the pattern below. (Use the scale to make sure the print out is the correct size). Cut six of each size petal from the felt. I used three colors so I cut 6-large petals from one color, 6-medium petals from another and 6-small petals from the last. Cut one backer. Take all of your petals and organize them from large on the bottom to small on top. Pick up one set of petals and pinch them together at the end. Sorry I have been a total slacker lately and haven't wanted to craft. Can you believe it? Not wanting to craft never happens to me! Well I decided my slacker-dum had to come to an end so I brought out my favorite fall weather fabric (felt) and started crafting. I came up with three new tutorials which I will share in the upcoming weeks starting with this one...Pinwheel bobby pins! If you can't tell by my posts from the past 30 days or so, I am trying to use a stash of felt that I found in my fabric box. At some point I bought quarter yards of a bunch of different felt and never really used it. Well it is the new year and one of the things that I do (and everyone else tends to do too) is try to organize my life—yeah like that is possible. Even though I do it every year and it only last a month or two I still find myself trying to be organized come Jan. 1. Oh well, I have gone off on a tangent.
